Reading Is an Anytime Activity

Today I have a book that reminds kids that reading is an anytime activity.  Who doesn’t love a story that encourages kids to pick up a book whenever the mood strikes?

Don’t forget to follow One Great Book on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or by email so that you don’t miss a chance to show kids that reading on the potty is a long-standing tradition enjoyed across our great nation.

Title: You Can Readreading is an anytime activity you can read

Author: Helaine Becker and Mark Hoffmann

Target: Preschool-Grade 1

What this book is about:

This book is about all the places you can read. A classroom, under the covers, camping and of course even in the bathroom when you need some privacy. At the table is a place to read, but be mindful it can be rude at mealtime and of course, you need to watch where you step if reading while walking because, well …eeew!

Why I love this book:

  • This book is a lovely reminder to kids that reading doesn’t just happen in a classroom but anywhere you need a little entertainment. It does this with lighthearted fun and some potty humor of the most tasteful kind. I mean really, a book about reading should be as fun as the act itself!
  • Love the illustrations. They have a European flair and plenty of laughs that will keep kids engaged.

Who this book is for:

Great for all kids. This is a fabulous book for starting off the school year to remind kids that reading is an activity for home and school. Read wherever the mood strikes you, with some basic precautions of course.

Final thoughts:

Books really are awesome!
